In addition to the livestream broadcast on Monday, 21 April, we are pleased to share news of the public enthronement ceremony of Tenzin Lodoe Rinpoche, recognised as the reincarnation of Geshe Jampa Gyatso. On this occasion, he was formally presented to Sera Jey Monastery in the presence of over 3000 monks, lay practitioners, and family members.
Shortly before 10:30 a.m., the young Rinpoche left House Number 3, his residence here at Sera Jey, and proceeded to the Main Temple. He was accompanied by his memorization teacher, by Tenzin Tashi Rinpoche (the reincarnation of his previous teacher and the former principal lama of House Number 3), and by Venerable Massimo Stordi, president of the Sangha Association, who is once again serving as his secretary, as in his previous life.
Alongside them were his mother, father, and other relatives who had travelled from Arunachal Pradesh, dressed in their traditional festival attire. Also present were members of Tenzin Tashi Rinpoche’s family from Bhutan, several monks from House Number XNUMX, and a few Italian disciples of Geshe Jampa Gyatso. Representing the Istituto Lama Tzong Khapa was Ivano Colombo, a member of the board of directors.

The young Rinpoche was escorted into the Temple to his seat among the lamas of Sera, with his brother, Tenzin Gyatso, serving as his attendant.
The rest of the group took their places on the upper floor, and the prayers began. Next, Rinpoche, together with the Abbot, ascended the raised dais and, along with the group, placed the image of His Holiness the Dalai Lama on the throne in the temple.
Rinpoche then returned to his seat, and we ascended once more to the upper floor, from where we could see and hear the proceedings. After the tea offering, dedications were read, and the Abbot of Sera Jey Monastery, Khen Rinpoche Geshe Tashi Tsetar, took a moment to reflect on the qualities of Geshe Jampa Gyatso. He recalled his contributions to the development of the Dharma at the invitation of Lama Yeshe and Lama Zopa Rinpoche, particularly at the Istituto Lama Tzong Khapa.
The Abbot also spoke of the support Geshe Jampa Gyatso had provided to Sera Jey during a challenging period for both the monks and the institution, funding and supporting the monks in their studies, lay families, and various projects they presented to him. He then expressed the hope that this incarnation may be as beneficial as the previous one and encouraged prayers for this.
At the conclusion of the Abbot's address, we descended to make offerings to the monks present. The event then concluded with a procession to return the image of the Dalai Lama to the upper floor.

After a short break, the ceremony resumed, this time for 'invited guests only,' numbering around 500, including many laypeople, local officials from the Tibetan government in exile, and numerous families with a connection to the previous Geshe Jampa Gyatso.
This time, Rinpoche sat on a throne next to the Abbot. After the offering of tea and ritual rice, the offering of the khatag (white scarf) began, presented to Rinpoche, his teacher, his secretary, his father, his sister, and his mother, in the order they were seated.
Just before the end of the Ceremony, Secretary Ven. Massimo Stordi offered the mandala to young Rinpoche and, to finish as a sign of auspiciousness, tied four khatags to the four columns of the Temple in the four directions.
Around 14 p.m. Indian time, the ceremony ended, and we went upstairs, where a vegetarian lunch, which was very good, was offered to the guests.

From the start in the morning, Rinpoche was very happy and joyful to attend the ceremony, and at its conclusion, with the offering of khatag by all the participants, he had the opportunity to personally thank everyone.
We would now like to inform you of an important matter that is close to our hearts, and sharing this may help raise greater awareness: The Monastic Sangha Lhungtok Choekhorling Association, together with House Number 3, has been joyfully and responsibly overseeing all the organizational aspects related to the recognition of Rinpoche for over a month. Furthermore, the Association of Monks and Nuns of Pomaia has been providing financial support, made possible by the generous donations received from all of you, to cover the substantial expenses during this phase. These expenses include, to name just a few, offerings to the individual monks (over 3500), travel tickets and accommodation for Rinpoche's relatives, offerings to the Sera Jey Monastery, and much more.
For those who wish to receive information on how to contribute and support the expenses and upkeep of House Number 3, and thereby Tenzin Lodoe Rinpoche, please feel free to write to info@sangha.it. We are deeply grateful for your support, and we are confident that, together, we can ensure the care of both the spiritual and material aspects, as tradition requires.
