With deep reverence and boundless joy, we humbly announce to you that, through the infinite wisdom of His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama, Tsering Dorjee, son of Gorchung and Kalsang Dolma of Mon Tawang, has been recognized as the blessed reincarnation of the venerable Geshe Jampa Gyatso.
On the 23rd day of the second month of the Wood-Serpent Year 2152 of the Tibetan calendar, corresponding to April 21, 2025, this sacred enthronement will be celebrated in the Main Temple of Sera Jey Monastic University, at 10:30 a.m. (at 7:00 in the morning Italian time) at the end of which it will be possible to offer the khatag to the young reincarnation.
In honor of this momentous occasion, we offer our deepest devotion to the ocean of refuge – the esteemed assembly of scholars – and make a humble offering of a simple lunch to our distinguished guests at 12:30 PM (local time) again at Sera Jey Monastery.

PS: The Ceremony will be attended by about 3000 monks, to whom individual offerings will be made. The Ceremony will be open to in-person participation.

The next date
In accordance with tradition, the next appointment after April 21st will be:
- 23 April: Public ceremony at the Jadhel Khangtsen. About 300 monks are expected to participate. Offerings will be made to the monks individually.
It will be possible to attend the Ceremony in person.
Details such as the time will be communicated later.
We remind you that the Bylakuppe Area is subject to the mandatory issuance of the PAP (Protected Area Permit), which can be requested through official Indian channels.
