We are happy to inform you that we will be present at the Turin International Book Fair for a special event dedicated to Franco Battiato, artist and spiritual seeker.
Il Ven. Massimo Stordi, president of the Sangha Lhungtok Choekhorling Monastic Association, will participate as relator to the book presentation To the essence edited by Franco Battiato Foundation ETS and published by Mondadori.
On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the birth of the Maestro, To the essence collects for the first time in a complete and orderly way his deepest thoughts. The work, curated by Giordano Casiraghi, is the result of decades of research in archives, interviews, conferences and unpublished materials. What emerges is an authentic journey through his philosophy of life: from meditation to music, from love to solitude, from reincarnation to culture.

Venerable Massimo Stordi will share his memories and experiences of the friendship that bound him to Franco Battiato. Their relationship, born from a common interest in spirituality, led to significant collaborations, such as the documentary film “Crossing the Bardo”, which explores themes related to death and rebirth according to the Tibetan Buddhist vision. Battiato, always fascinated by inner research, has always actively supported the project of the Buddhist Monastery of Pomaia, recognizing its importance for the diffusion of Dharma in Italy.
