The inter-group organizes presentations, visits, press conferences and everything it deems useful to help understand and provide solutions to the problems raised by the Chinese occupation such as the promotion of human rights and freedom of the Tibetan people, religious freedoms, survival of the Tibetan language etc…

BOOK PRESENTATION
OCCUPIED TIBET. THE HISTORY, THE RIGHTS, THE DUTIES OF OUR GOVERNMENTS

Saturday March 11 2023
10.30 am American Palace Eur Hotel, Via Laurentina 454 – Rome

Tibet is a nation state located in the heart of Asia, with an area equal to that of Western Europe and a population of about 6 million people, illegally and forcibly occupied in 1950 by an immensely more powerful neighbor: the Popular Chinese.

Tibet has a precise identity, its own history, language, writing, religious tradition and race which in no way make it comparable to China. An impressive and accurate scientific research, lasting ten years by Michael van Walt van Praag and Miek Boltjes, demonstrates in this fundamental work as well as from the same Chinese sources and documentations, and from the point of view of international law, the alleged sovereignty of China has no historical, cultural or juridical prerequisite for Tibet.

THE AUTHORS

MICHAEL VAN WALT VAN PRAAG and MIEK BOLTJES are two specialists in international law and intra-state conflicts whose diplomacy and mediation have won the trust and applause of governments and self-determination movements.

Seats for the conference are sold out. The live stream will be broadcast via the Senate web TV channel: https://webtv.senato.it/webtv_live
