10th anniversary of His Holiness the Dalai Lama's visit to the hills

Il June 13 2024 marks the anniversary of 10 years since the visit of His Holiness the Dalai Lama to the Monastery Hill. On that special day the Dalai Lama blessed the area of ​​the Monastery and planted the first seeds of the myrtle plants together with the children present and in front of an audience of around 800 people. On that day ten years ago we had the incredible opportunity to receive the Blessing of the site where the Lhungtok Choekhorling Monastery will be built.

So I pray and hope that the realization of this project will have a good purpose, an appropriate place, where authentic tradition can be studied and meditation practiced. I think that a place like this, where authentic tradition is carried forward, can be very useful.

Recitation of the Sutra of Noble Wishes, Praises to Tara and other prayers

• At 08: 30 – On this particularly auspicious day, we monks and nuns of the Sangha Foundation will meet online on Zoom to recite prayers together Sutra of the Noble Wishes, Praises to Tara (Tib.), Long life prayers for His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Long life prayer for Khen Rinpoche and prayer for the speedy return of Lama Zopa Rinpoche. We invite all the monastic Sangha in attendance and all the friends of the Monastery to join us in these recitations.

Incense puja

• At 18: 00 – We will officiate the Lhasang puja (Incense Puja) in the area of ​​the new Foundation land (Olive Tree land, located just after the Monastery hill). The event will be in-person only. At the end we are happy to offer you a simple buffet to celebrate together. You're all invited.
