Lhabab Duchen
Happy Lhabab Düchen!
The twenty-second day of the ninth month of the Tibetan calendar is one of the four holidays commemorating important events in the life of Buddha Śākyamuni, namely his descent to Earth after returning from the realm of the Thirty-three Devas.
The Buddha had traveled to that land to impart teachings to the Gods and to his mother Mahadevi, to free her from Samsara and repay her for her kindness.
On this day the effects of the positive (or negative) actions performed are multiplied by 100 million times. It is part of the tradition to dedicate it to virtuous deeds and the recitation of prayers.

ADVICE ON DAYS THAT MULTIPLY MERITS
Since it is a day of merit multiplication, the karmic results of actions performed on this day are multiplied 100 million times. The origin of this extraordinary achievement has been traced by Lama Zopa Rinpoche in the Vinaya text “Treasure of Quotations and Logic”.
Read the practices recommended by Lama Zopa Rinpoche
Have a good virtuous day everyone!
