“Even for me, who am a Christian monk, there are reasons to rejoice at the establishment of a Tibetan Buddhist Monastery in Italy – exactly in Pomaia, Tuscany – because monasticism is first and foremost an anthropological phenomenon before being experienced in different forms in the different confessions of faith and spirituality.”
