We are pleased to share special news: Ven. Massimo Stordi, President of the Sangha Lhungtok Choekhorling Monastic Association, will participate in the meeting “An Irresistible Call: Franco Battiato and the Search for Self”, under the Milan Music Week  to the Triennale – Voice Space, Saturday, November 22nd at 16:30 PM. Joining Alice are Francesco Messina, Lorenzo Palmeri, Pino “Pinaxa” Pischetola, Roberto Cacciapaglia, and Giordano Casiraghi.

An event dedicated to the depth of Franco Battiato's human and spiritual journey.

The meeting was born from the desire to offer a perspective that goes beyond the celebratory dimension to get closer to the heart of Battiato's research: self-knowledge, the transcendence of the ego, the striving for inner improvement.

In the wake of his work, Milan Music Week and Voce Triennale support a space for listening and dialogue: in an age when music risks remaining superficial, the aim is to restore Battiato's role as a vehicle capable of transforming sound into a path of thought, meditation, and freedom.

With

  • Alice – artist
  • Francesco Messina – art director
  • Massimo Stordi – monk
  • Lorenzo Palmeri – designer and musician
  • Pino “Pinaxa” Pischetola – sound engineer
  • Roberto Cacciapaglia – composer
  • Giordano Casiraghi – journalist

A rare opportunity to hear authoritative voices deeply invested in Battiato's personal and artistic journey, in a prestigious setting dedicated to music and its transformative power.

In the heart of Milan Music Week

Milano Music Week was founded in 2017 by the City of Milan – Department of Culture, AssoConcerti, Assomusica, FIMI, Nuovo IMAIE, and SIAE, with the aim of dedicating an entire week to music and the professions that comprise it.
For seven days, the city becomes a vast, sprawling stage: concerts, workshops, meetings, presentations, screenings, and DJ sets. A music festival that combines outreach, education, and networking, aimed at professionals and enthusiasts alike. In just a few years, Milan Music Week has become a national benchmark, an event eagerly awaited by the entire Italian music industry.
