To fulfill one of the holy wishes of our precious and unforgettable spiritual director Lama Zopa Rinpoche, the Nalanda Monastery is organizing for the first time in France, and probably in Europe, the first Gelug Monlam Prayer Festival from Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th February.
One of our delegations will participate, at the invitation of the Nalanda Monastery, together with other Western monks and nuns.
We will also have the opportunity during the first day on Friday, from 9:00 to 10:00, to speak with our president Fri. Massimo Stordi, who will present the Monastery Project.
The program includes many events and many special guests, such as Geshe Thubten Sonam from Sera Jey Monastery, Genden Dargey (Sera Jey's main singing teacher) e Geshe Dorjee Wangdak.
even the venerable Roger, Member of the FPMT Inc. Board of Directors, accepted the invitation with enthusiasm and sincere thanks for having made one of Lama Zopa Rinpoche's wishes come true.

On Saturday 24 February we will celebrate Chötrul Düchen, the sacred day on which the Monlam period ends (the first 15 days after the Tibetan New Year) which recalls the wonders shown by Buddha Shakyamuni during the challenge with spiritual masters of different traditions.
A particularly auspicious day for all positive actions because, according to tradition, their karmic value multiplies millions of times.
For this reason, many prayer sessions are planned during the event.
