Teachings on the Heart Sutra
The Heart Sutra is one of the most famous Buddhist sacred texts, belonging to the collection of teachings deriving from the Sutra of the Perfection of Wisdom, taken from the second turning of the Wheel of Dharma by Buddha Shakyamuni.
It reveals the meaning of emptiness through a short dialogue between Avalokiteshvara and Shariputra.
The brevity and depth of the text have popularized its recitation as an effective means of eliminating obstacles to spiritual practice and creating the conditions for understanding and realizing emptiness.
