The renovation of house number 3B is finally completed!

We are pleased to announce that Casa 3B is finally completed. The building is located near Bylakuppe, Mysore (in a village of Karnataka, near the Sera Je Monastery, in South India), opposite the former residence of Geshe Tashi Bum and Geshe Ciampa Gyatso, who in their infinite kindness, they have always taken care of looking after the monks and the structures that welcomed them.

Now that Casa 3 no longer has these large Lamas, and seeing the conditions in which the building was pouring (such as water entering through the ceiling), we decided to contribute to the renovation of the building, thanks also to the contribution of 8 ×1000 that you all choose to donate to the Italian Buddhist Union.

For us monks and nuns of the Sangha Onlus Association it was the opportunity to reciprocate the kindness of our Masters and give the monks, who live in the house, the conditions to continue their studies and practice in a suitable and healthy place. and thus be able to continue to be of benefit to all.

HOME

The completed house consists of eight rooms on the ground floor. Six are intended to accommodate the older monks, and two other rooms that can accommodate four smaller monks. For all there is a comfortable kitchen and shared bathrooms. It currently houses around 10 monks, the oldest being 54 and the youngest being 10.

It was inaugurated on 10 January in the presence of Dr. Filippo Scianna, President of the Italian Buddhist Union and on the plaque affixed near the meditation hall was engraved:
“House number 3 was renovated thanks to the kindness of Gheshe Jampa Gyatso, with the support of the Sangha Onlus Association of Pomaia and the indispensable help of the Italian Buddhist Union. Thank you!"
